TWO STARS
BY ANNA STRATE
On my way home I look to the sky
Two stars are there each night
Traveling towards each other as nights go by
I can see them because they shine so bright
Imagine my surprise when I heard on the News
That they weren't stars, but were two planets
It made me sad at all they would lose
One never feeling the others life within it
When I saw these stars at first
I imagined they were you and me
Being drawn to each other like a thirst
But, now I know that comparison can't be
They will forever be separated by space
Never knowing the closeness to be felt
But, you and I will eventually be in one place
And within your arms I will melt.
